The installation of integrated macerating toilets

The installation of an integrated macerating toilet requires a few essential provisions, while at the same time offering a high degree of design flexibility, making it suitable for both new builds and renovations.

For the system to function correctly, the following must be provided:

  • 230V electrical connection
  • connection to the cold water supply
  • discharge outlet preparation
  • correct pipe slopes
  • stable floor fixing
  • hydraulic connections for the toilet and any additional fixtures

Correct installation is essential to ensure optimal performance, avoid restrictions in the pipework and prevent the formation of bad odours.

A compact and technologically advanced system

Planus macerating toilets integrate the pump and macerating system directly inside the sanitary fixture. Activation takes place via a side button with Dual Flush system (3 or 1.8 litres), allowing more efficient water management.

With a 220-240V power supply, 600W output, IP55 protection and Ø40 mm discharge outlet, the system is designed to ensure reliability and high performance in domestic settings.

Versatile installation and maximum design freedom

The system is designed to adapt to different installation contexts, even where the traditional plumbing system presents limitations. A flush cistern is not required, as the toilet connects directly to the cold water supply.

To achieve a flush-to-wall result and better system management, it is recommended to create a false wall that allows the pipework to be routed neatly.

In versions with All-in-One technology, the washbasin, shower and bidet can also be connected to the same system, simplifying the installation and optimising waste discharge.

Long-term reliability and maintenance

Planus systems are designed to ensure continuity of operation and long service life. To maintain high performance, it is important to use the toilet exclusively for sanitary wastewater and water-soluble toilet paper, avoiding materials that could damage the macerator.

Periodic maintenance with specific products such as Pump Service is also recommended. It is designed for cleaning and protecting the internal unit, helping to preserve efficiency and reliability over time.

Safety and correct clearances

During installation, it is essential to respect the safety clearances for the electrical connection and ensure proper ventilation of the system. The pipework must be correctly sized and laid out, avoiding overly tight bends or restrictions that could compromise the flow.

Following these instructions ensures efficient, quiet and long-lasting operation over time.
